At present, the speed of domestic subways/light rails is 60~80km/h. As cities have higher and higher requirements for the passenger capacity of subways and light rails, their speed also needs to be further improved. Track pads, as the main structural parts of the track, are one of the biggest constraints. The cost of polyurethane pads is too high and the shock absorption performance is poor. According to research by experts in the industry, the subways/light rails in various cities will need to be accelerated in the future. Currently, 22 city subways have determined to increase the speed of subways/light rails. At present, EPDM pads have been widely used in the rail transportation field in various cities in China.
